- What is the time taken to Biodegrade?
European standards suggest for anything to be biodegradable 90% of it must break down into smaller then 2mm pieces within 6 months.
- Paper v plastic Carbon Footprint?
Paper is higher initially than plastic but paper is usually disposed of more efficiently so there is less chance of it ending up in oceans, landfills etc.
- Does paper tape work same as plastic tape?
Yes, exactly the same, in the gummed paper tape it can actually work better acting as a tamper proof seal for the cartons.
- What’s the properties of paper tape?
Made from Kraft paper it can be Widely recycled and degrade in most environments.
- How much more environmentally friendly is it regarding deforestation?
Paper production is not responsible for destruction of rain-forest, Rain-forest trees are typically hardwood and are slow growing. Softwood timber is used for the manufacture paper used in packaging as it is stronger. Paper manufacturing mainly uses offcuts and trimmings from trees used in furniture and timber production. The unwanted wood is transformed into wood chips which are then pulped.
- Biodegradable bubble wrap?

- Are boxes made from recycled content?
Our suppliers corrugated board is 100% recyclable, 100% biodegradable and made from 90% recycled or recovered paper. They are also FSC® certified.
